Ahhh it’s so true isn’t it!! I’ve already had my fair share of midnight trips (and when I say midnight I mean 3am) to the ER – only for the nurses to tease me about my obviously fine child running in the hallway. I don’t send him to school sick and I HATE it when other kids are sick at school because then it means we are doomed to have it but I get that not everyone is in the position I am and I don’t hold grudges. In an ideal world things would be easier…

So many things would be easier in an “ideal” world…The waiting room miracle cure 🙂
Heather
oh man sorry that you are having such a rough time!
spiritedmama1
Thanks Heather. It just got worse…I’m sick for the 4th time!

Nope I don’t generally send them when they are sick but I have sent them on the border of being sick though. You know, they are fine but something could possibly be brewing stage.

I know but I always sit and wait for “that call” to fetch kid(s)…

So hard! I have also been on both ends of the stick. Sent my sick kids and been pissed at parents who do. I too understand both too well. I’ve got them both on vitamins which I have been working well the last few weeks. Touch wood!

It really is hard. I too relate to being on both sides. Neither situation is desirable…

Ha ha ha I’m almost tempted to just K to the pead’s office without an appointment just for that miracle to happen anytime she is under the weather
Hope everyone is doing well again and. I more sickies! K started play school in October and I feel like every single few weeks since Jan she’s been sick always around the same time (so much so my friend said it seems like PMS sickness 🙂 )
I don’t send K to school when sick but that is because we have a full time nanny. Her school is happy for them to come in when sick as they get that parents don’t always have all the help.

I am about to write a rant about a similar thing today. Visiting friends when your kids are sick. I am 39 weeks pregnant and 2 days ago had a family member visit with a flu-ridden toddler for my little boys birthday. Now I am as sick as a dog and am so angry that this person would not only knowingly put me and my family at risk of getting sick but also the health of our soon-born baby. It’s a touchy subject for me, my brother was born severely disabled due to Mum coming into contact with a child with measles in a supermarket while she was pregnant. If you’re sick STAY HOME until you are 100% well!!! It might be a nothing illness to you but it could have a huge affect on someone else. I do understand the work side of things too… I get that, there needs to be more support for families in the workplace to cater for this… It’s a cruel circle unfortunately… 🙁 Hope your baby is on the mend soon!!!
